THE FIVE STAR HEART PROJECT GOES INSIDE TEMPLE FOOTBALL
June 23rd, 2016
On June 23rd, The Five Star Heart Family comprised of 80+ middle school student-athletes experienced a FIRST-CLASS visit at Temple. This visit was second to none on ALL ACCOUNTS as the hospitality, organized execution, and genuine desire to make an IMPACT on our youth by Temple's staff and players alike left our group in AWE. It was a tremendous day as former Temple Linebacker and current Assistant Football Coach Omar Hales pronounced "follow your passion in life" while former LSU Tiger and current Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Brandon Washington stated, "I am here to make men." Our kids watched motivational videos, dawned Temple jerseys, toured Edberg-Olson Hall, and participated in a Q&A session led by Temple's PJ Walker, Colin Thompson, and Dion Dawkins as these players drove home the importance of COMMITMENT and ACCOUNTABILITY in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the football field. Lastly, Liberty High School Alumni and former Temple Football Team Captain Levi Brown led us on tour of campus and a stroll down Broad Street to cap of an invaluable experience in Philadelphia.
